At Dancespace 383 you have the freedom to choose what types of dance you wish to participate in and at what pace. With our classes they are paid as you go. No courses.
Hip hop / Funk
A stylized combination of street funk & hip hop to challenge students & allow them to find a 'style' of their own. This class is inspired by the styles of dance films such as "Honey" & "You Got Served" and musical artists including Usher, Missy Elliot & Beyonce. This class is a fun way to get fit & flexible whilst meeting new people who have the same interests as yourself. Please wear comfortable clothes and sneakers. Jazz sneakers are allowed. Beginners to advanced in ages from 5+ are welcome.
Jazz
Jazz is often associated with musicals, but this style is used predominately by pop stars such as Britney, J.Lo, Kylie & Christina. Based on classic Jazz Dance technique, this class takes Jazz into a modern style. For the adults, you will be learning a more classic style of Jazz, for example dance moves from "Chicago" & "Chorus Line". Jazz will provide extreme benefits for those looking to increase their technique & flexibility. Please wear comfortable (stretchy) pants and t-shirts or singlets, jazz dance sneakers are welcome, as well as street sneakers. Beginners to advance in ages from 5+ are welcome.
Tots
Does your little one like to dance to The Wiggles & Hi-5? If you answered 'yes', then why not bring them along to one of our classes especially for your little angels! Ages 1 to 5 are welcome and parents, feel free to join in too! This class allows tots to develop musicality, rhythm & confidence, as well as basic technique & gestures which are used in everyday life. They will be dancing rings around you in no time!
Body stretch and wellbeing
When was the last time you stretched & felt good? Stretching should be part of an everyday routine. This class incorporates Pilates & Yoga technique & allows individuals to work at their own level to benefit themselves through flexibility & strength. The aim is to develop core strength, ease and openness in the joints and a flexible, well balanced body. Beginners to advanced are welcome. Please bring a yoga mat and towel to each session. Body Stretch & Wellbeing is set in a relaxed atmosphere where you can unwind from a long day. Please alert your instructor if you suffer from any illness or injuries.
