Ballroom & Latin
The styles covered in our classes include:
Latin American: Cha Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doblé, Jive.
(Standard) Ballroom: Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz, Quickstep.
Our ballroom and latin classes are divided into three levels. Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.
Beginner:
Beginner level is for people who would like to try ballroom dancing. These classes are designed to have you moving around the floor easily within the first few weeks of the class. A partner is not necessary. It is light learning based on having a good time and learning some basic dancing skills that you can use at barties, balls or take into other social classes. The health benefits if good posture will also be covered.
The beginner ballroom and latin classes will cover a new dance every four weeks. This is an ideal time frame to feel comfortable and learn at a relaxed pace.
Intermediate:
This is for people who have some dancing knowledge. I.e have been learning for a year or so in other classes or have had private lessons. The intermediate level will introduce more advanced routines in all of the dances that are outlined in the beginner course. A more intensive approach to ballroom principles and a more in depth look at posture. Learn more about how it works and why.
Advanced
This is for people who would like to compete, already have competed or have a desire to go to a deeper level of understanding the mechanics of ballroom dancing. This will be a master class.
